Maintenance Engineer Intern

Overview

At Perfect Medical Service, I spent every day working on the machines hospitals can't afford to have down. I repaired CT scanners, MRI machines, and other Philips imaging equipment, sometimes in the workshop, sometimes right in the hospital where patients were waiting.

What I Did

• On-Site Hospital Repairs: Traveled to hospitals to diagnose and fix medical imaging equipment including CT scanners and MRI machines, getting them back online as quickly as possible
• Workshop Maintenance: Repaired, tested, and calibrated equipment brought into the service center for deeper troubleshooting
• Hardware Diagnostics: Tracked down and resolved hardware faults across a range of Philips medical devices, helping reduce recurring downtime
• Calibration & QA: Ran calibration procedures and quality checks per industry safety standards before clearing equipment for clinical use

Takeaway

Working directly with hospital staff on equipment that patients depend on taught me what it really means to be precise and accountable under pressure. That hands-on mindset still shapes how I think about problem-solving in software today.
